Found my go to electrician. Needed an EV charger installed and found Prime Electric through the SMUD contractor network. They gave a fair price, showed up on time, and completed the job without any issues. Most impressive was their assistance in requesting the permit, and submitting the SMUD rebate. Great experience all around.

I hired Prime Electric team to update the electrical panel and wiring in 1971 condominium. We ran into a few issues with the older, non-standard build of the place. Each time an issue was discovered, I was informed of the issue and presented with a decision when there was one to be made. The team worked very diligently and with great care. The job was finished very promptly. It's been a few months now, and I am very happy with the result. I would definitely hire them again and recommend their services.

Eugene was great to work with and I highly recommend. He replaced our main panel and installed a 100 A sub panel. He was very flexible, allowing me to perform some of the easier steps ahead of time to save some cost. He gave me great instructions for what to buy and how to install. He coordinated with the utility company and county very well and handled all of the scheduling. He completed the install exactly on the schedule he promised.

My control panel (Zinsco) malfunctioned and melted during the hottest weekend of the year. I called Prime and within 1.5 days they had my panel replaced, inspections done, and my home up and running. The price was reasonable as I had called 3 other locations asking for quotes and asked a friend who had his panel replaced as well.

Eugene of Prime Electric did an outstanding job of installing a new Enphase 32A EV charger in my garage. It required adding a new breaker to the circuit box and he was able to install the charger in the location I had requested. His work is very neat and professional, and he is very courteous. He responded quickly to my initial request and was always responsive when I had questions through text messaging.
My neighbor watched with me as he did the work and she was also impressed. He gave her some ideas about where a charger could be installed in her garage after he finished the job at my home. She may be hiring him to do her EV charger installation soon as well.
I reached out to 4 different companies on the SMUD list of contractors for this work. Prime Electric was the first to respond, within an hour.
